The pump was inspected on February 16, 2017. The picture below shows the comparison before and after the installation of the anti-scaling device.
Before running into the device, the coupling of the sucker rod is corroded and the sucker rod is scaled by about 2-3 mm.

● On July 23, 2018, a CASN anti-scaling device was installed on the heat exchanger water inlet pipeline. It only took less than 3 hours from construction preparation to installation completion and confirmation of operation.When installing the equipment, check the coil. The scaling situation is quite serious. White hard scale is attached to the outer wall of the coil. It is difficult to knock off the scale by hitting or scraping it with metal tools. Finally, it is about 2cm² square that can be removed by tapping with a sharp hammer. Expose the metal body of the pipe.
● After 90 days of normal operation, the specific use effects were observed on October 23, 2018. The results are analyzed as follows: Equipment usage analysis: After the CASN anti-scaling device was put into use, due to the cooling water in the water tank being processed by the equipment, the outer wall of the coil The hard scale is softened, and the hard scale formed on the outer wall of the coil is softened and becomes fluffy. Use a metal object to scrape a large area and fall off. The scale condensed on the weld of the coil elbow is also effectively softened.Observe that there is no new scale condensation on the metal body. The effect is more obvious under the water tank where the intensity of water flow is high.
● Process technology analysis: Due to the improved heat exchange efficiency, the daily processing capacity increased by 72 tons 90 days after installation, achieving the expected results.

The original cleaning method was pickling, which was later changed to high-pressure cleaning. The cleaning cycle is 2 times/year. After installation, the cleaning cycle is 1 time/2 years.

As of December 31, 2020, a total of 12 wells have not been cleaned, and 2 wells have been cleaned once. The test application of metastable alloy anti-scale and corrosion inhibition device in Jiudong Union Station has achieved practical results. During the application period, the pressure loss at the inlet and outlet of the adding furnace was stable at 0.02MPa, and the coil scaling rate was reduced by more than 80%. The effect is remarkable.
The produced fluid from the Jiudong formation is characterized by high salinity and high calcium and magnesium ion concentration.During long-term production and operation, crude oil with high water content is heated by the heating furnace, resulting in severe scaling of the coils. Usually, the system needs to be shut down after two years of use.
After installing the metastable alloy anti-scale and corrosion inhibition device, it was found through weighing the inlet and outlet coupons that the corrosion rate of the heating furnace outlet coupons was 0.021mm/a, indicating mild corrosion.Moreover, the device does not need to be shut down for maintenance during use, which greatly saves manpower and material resources.In the next step, we will continue to track the long-term use effect of the device and evaluate the practicality of the device in a deeper level.
